Mothers' Union
St Matthias Mothers' Union branch opened on 16th June 2002.
We began with 16 members.
Our leader is Mrs Edith Frances Farrell.
Our aim
The aim of the Mothers' Union is the advancement of the Christian religion in the sphere of marriage and family life.
Our objective
To uphold Christ's teaching through prayer, worship and service, encouraging parents and children in the faith and the life of the church.
We also promote and provide pastoral service to help those whose family life has met with adversity.
We are a very active group within our church and would like to encourage new members - both male and female - to join us.
Meetings
We meet on the second Sunday of the month in the church after Parish Mass.
